Groups & Ministries

  • Weekly gathering to explore the Word of God through scripture, analysis, textual study, and commentaries.

The Bible study group meets on Tuesdays at 10:00 am in the church Library. Zoom is also available.

  • Our Episcopal Church Women's group is a time for fellowship, service, and fun.

The ECW supports ministries within the church as well as the LaGrange community. We prepare meals for families in crisis, assist the LaGrange Clothing Closet, host receptions at the church for various events & funerals, provide shoes for children in need, offer scholarships for Camp Mikell, and much more. Our freezer meal fundraiser helps us to fund these ministries, and continue to grow for those we serve.

  • The St. Mark’s Green Team (GT) attempts to facilitate Creation Care from within the parish. The GT is an open membership team that educates, communicates, and implements concepts for managing our parish environmental footprint.

The GT supports recycling, gardening, community clean-up, and other sustainability projects (i.e.: energy audits, energy efficiency upgrades, occupancy sensor lighting, solar installation options, etc.), and develops and maintains partnerships with Georgia Interfaith Power and Light (GIPL) and the broader local community to foster Creation Care.

  • The Group meets each month to enjoy a meal, plan projects and grow our spiritual life.

The Group helps maintain the church grounds. Volunteers provide countless hours of their time to clean, paint, demolish, build, install and secure various areas of the church and the grounds of St. Marks. Their assistance and expertise save the church many dollars that can be used towards other ministries in and around Lagrange.

  • In an effort to live into our commitment to love and worship God and to love and serve all people, the pastoral care team assists and supports the rector through a ministry of prayer, friendship, and service to our church community.

The pastoral care team seeks to fulfill its mission through prayer, by serving as eucharistic visitors, through our card ministry, assisting at a monthly eucharistic at a local retirement community, by delivering flowers, and through genuine friendship and concern.

  • Popcorn Theology is a group of parishioners and community members who meet monthly to enjoy pizza and popcorn while watching a chosen movie and discussion.

The group meets on the second Sunday of each month in the church library. All are welcome to attend.

  • The Reading Group gathers on the second Monday of each month in the Parish Hall to eat pizza and discuss a chosen book.

All are invited to join the discussion!
